Welcome Preston Grant!

Our nephew Preston Grant Cagle was born yesterday to Steve and Holly Cagle (Holly is Chris' sister). He is 8 lbs. 3 oz. and 21" long. From what we've heard, everyone is doing well and we can't wait to meet him.

Congratulations Steve and Holly!

The Inspiration

I found this photo while I was cleaning out our file drawer yesterday. This is the cake my roommates and I made for Chris' 21st birthday. Unfortunately it's missing the whoppers at the back end of the deer, and the one for the bullet. Sorry if these images disturb any animal lovers.

A Few More Pics...Oh Deer

I forgot to put these in with the last post, they are more pictures from our trip to my in-laws. Last Monday was my father-in-law's birthday so Chris and I made the cake. He is a hunter, hence the design for the cake. It was inspired by a creation by the Price Street Family in college. I had the greatest roommates.

This is Hannah on the drive home from our trip. She slept most of the way hugging her bunny and holding on to bear-bear. Precious. (FYI, this is the same bunny that got dumped in the pool a few weeks ago, apparently there are no hard feelings.)

He is Risen!

I like to take some time around Easter to read through the gospels again and appreciate all that Jesus did for us, because without the resurrection, our faith is futile. Praise God that because of the resurrection, death has been conquered and we are offered eternal life, if we choose to receive it.
What is your choice?

I didn't get much time to do that reading I so much enjoy. Somehow the time flew by and Sunday afternoon we were on the road to my in-laws to catch a candy hunt before dark. Hannah sort of caught on to the concept, I think her cousin Stellan had the most fun. It's great to watch the three girls playing together, and Hannah gets so excited to be with them, and her Nona and Nono.

B.F.F.

Ali is definitely Hannah's B.F.F. She gets so excited whenever I tell her we're going to see Ali and squeals in delight once they're face to face. I am so grateful to have a friend with a toddler, especially when it's a good friend like Amy. I hope there are many more play dates to come!
